A large Iznik pottery dish, Ottoman, circa 1600, with sloping rim on a short foot, the white body painted with a finely drawn design in bole red, under-glaze cobalt blue, turquoise and black comprising a jardiniere of chrysanthemums framed by two sprays of hyacinths and roses surrounded by a rim with a wave and rock design, the reverse of the rim with small leaf like emblems
