Chinese famille verte hexagonal ewer, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in overglaze enamels to the main section of the body with panels of flowers including prunus and chrysanthemum issuing from rockwork with insects in flight overhead, the shoulders and neck with bands of lotus petals below a thin scrolling band in iron red; the handle and spout with small floral sprays.

Condition:
Small chip to footrim, small crack and chip to spout, hairline crack to top of handle.
