Dutch Delft blue and white 'drie tulip' tile, circa 1640, decorated with three tulips within a scalloped-cartouche with Kraak borders, size including frame: 16.5cm x 16.5cm (6 1/2in. X 6 1/2in.); condition: restored. A similar tile is illustrated in Jan Pluis, 'The Dutch Tile' p. 417, pl. A.05.04.04. A panel of such tiles can be seen in the Philadelphia Museum of Art Collection, 1930-10-47(125--126a,128--134).
