Chinese famille rose teapot and cover, Qianlong (1736-95), of cylindrical form with straight spout and twisted double strap handle ending in moulded foliate terminals, the body decorated in overglaze enamels with delicate sprays of flowers and foliage, the rim with a narrow undulating chain in pink and a band of small green leaves and gilt; the lid similarly decorated and surmounted by a strawberry-shaped finial.

Minute frit to finial, small chip to rim and shallow chip to inside of lid, wear to gilding
