Chinese famille rose teapot and cover, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated to either side with a bouquet of flowers and butterflies, surrounded by smaller floral sprays; the shoulders with a foliate garland of flowers and narrow serrated leaf band to the rim, the handle with moulded floral garland detail; the lid painted with a further floral garland and surmounted by a peach-shaped finial.
