Pair of Chinese Wucai baluster vases and covers, Chongzhen (1628-1643), brightly decorated with three galloping horses above tall mountain peaks against a background of iron-red whorls with auspicious emblems and dotted with cherry blossom heads, all below a shoulder band of lappets, the domed covers with pear shape finials. Height: 42 cm. ; condition: both vases have neatly restored hairlines from the rim, and one vase has a neat repair to the lid. SOLD
