Pair of Chinese famille-verte hexagonal salts, Kangxi (1662-1722), of waisted form, the sides decorated with panels containing flowers and an assortment of scholarly objects, the underside of the rims with ruyi heads, the wells with further scholarly objects including archaistic vessels with feathers and coral, scrolls and weiqi boards, surrounded by an inner band of flowerheads against a cracked-ice ground and a band of floral green stippled ground with six cartouches containing flowers and beribboned babao.
