Pair of Chinese Imari square cross-section canisters, Kangxi (1662-172), decorated on alternate sides with flowers issuing from rockwork and river landscapes; height: 10 in., 25.5cm; condition: one cover neatly repaired, the other with a replaced porcelain lid. The shape is a copy of a European glass model. Sets of such bottles filled with geneva or brandy were stored in specially made wooden boxes.
