Chinese famille verte teapot, Kangxi (1662-1722), with vertical moulded panels of alternating colours, copper-red, green and white panels each decorated with flower heads, with upright bamboo-style handle, on four short bracket feet, the cover similarly decorated with a bud finial, height: 6 3/4in. 17.2cm. condition: shallow chip to tip of spout, hairline from base approximately 1 3/4in. 4.4cm. and circular hairline to base, very small glaze flake to handle, very slight wear to rim of lid and tip of finial, This teapot was exhibited in the Rijks museum in 1936 where only the best was on display.
