Two Fine Chinese cloisonne leys jars (zhadou), Qianlong (1736-95), decorated with scrolling peonies and flowering tendrils beneath a border of lappets and bellflowers, the flared necks with conforming decoration and the interior rim with flowers, scrolls and bats with outstretched wings, on circular base with key pattern bands in gilt -wire on a deep blue round, height: 11in. 28cm. Jars of this sort were often used in front of the Imperial throne, but at a later date they were put to more common useage SOLD
