Meissen purple-ground teacup and saucer, c. 1735-40, the saucer decorated with harbour scenes of merchants, ships and European rural landscapes within shaped cartouche with Laub-und Bandelwerk in red, purple and gold, the reverse with indianische Blumen against a lavender-ground, the teacup with harbour-scenes within shaped cartouches against a lavender-ground with indianische Blumen, with a spray of indianische Blumen to the inside. Cup base impressed '52', saucer base impressed '64'
