Chinese blue and white cracked ice ginger jar and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated with ogee-shaped reserves containing an assortment of archaistic bronze-form vessels, stools and bound papers, surrounded by beribboned precious objects including a ruyi-head sceptre and various babao representing a pair of books, a cash coin, open lozenge and a pearl, all against a cracked ice ground with prunus blossom, with pierced wooden lid carved with the 'shou' character.
