Chinese famille verte ‘pie-crust’ rim octagonal platter, Kangxi (1662-1722), the centre decorated with phoenix amongst peony, peony seed heads, chrysanthemum, magnolia and foliage, the border with two pairs of opposing vignettes containing two cockerels and crabs within black ruyi, interspersed by fish amongst waterweeds with flowering branches against a green seeded ground, all within a moulded 'pie-crust' rim.
