Chinese Longquan celadon guan, Yuan/Early Ming, 15th century, of ovoid form with short wide neckrim, the upper body decorated with incised scrolling lotus above a band of stylised stiff petals, covered in a rich sea-green glaze which also covers the interior; the inner base, mouth and foot unglazed and iron-red due to firing, height: 9 1/16in., 23cm; condition: small rim chip neatly restored.
