Pair of Chinese famille rose teabowls and saucers, Yongzheng (1723-35), the saucers decorated in rich polychrome overglaze enamels with a central scrolling lotus roundel, encircled by two bands; the inner with peony and lotus flowerheads with blue scrolls against a blue ground, the outer with scattered peony, prunus and foliage against a swirling iron-red ground, the rim with four narrow floral cartouches and alternating blue or pink patterned sections; the teabowls similarly decorated with scattered peony, prunus and foliage against a swirling iron-red ground above a band of peony and lotus against a blue ground to the feet; the interior rims with narrow bands of blue and pink sections and floral cartouches.

Condition:
Minute frits, one teabowl with tiny chip and faint hairline.
