Chinese famille verte dish, early Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in the centre with flowering branches of peony, chrysanthemum and hibiscus on a diaper ground within ruyi-shaped bands, and a band of diaper to the cavetto, the rim with half flower heads on a stylized foliate ground, the reverse rim with iron red scrolls above floral sprays with lappets to the double footrim; diameter: 13 ½ in. (34.2 cm.). There is a similar dish in the Victoria and Albert Museum. SOLD
