Chinese Canton enamel tray, Qianlong (1736-95), of square form with chamfered corners, decorated with a narrative scene of three scholars in a rocky landscape within narrow red bands with stylized lingzhi scrolls against a blue ground, the reverse decorated with blue foliate scrollwork within narrow red bands, seal mark to base.
