Meissen teabowl and saucer, circa 1735, decorated in the kakiemon style with flowering branches and an insect, the rims glazed brown, the interior well of the teabowl decorated with a prunus flowerhead with issuing leaves, pressnummer ‘2’ to inner footrims, with underglaze-blue crossed-swords mark to base, diameter of saucer 5 1/8in.
