Chinese famille verte ribbed charger, Kangxi (1662-1722), with lobed rim, decorated with a central roundel containing a basket of flowers within a border comprised of various floral and liewen cellular grounds with six small cartouches containing beribboned babao, the rim with twelve petal-shaped panels containing flowers issuing from rockwork including lotus, peony, chrysanthemum and prunus with flying insects, the outer rim with narrow band of flowerhead roundels against a
green ground, the reverse with three peony sprays to the rim and a further babao representing a pair of books within concentric circles to the base.
