Chinese famille rose plate, Yongzheng, (1723-35), decorated with a lady seated on rattan bench playing a flute to a child seated beside her, with two large vases, a smaller one containing scrolls and a fan and a table with a vase of flowers in the background, with a pink ruyi border with four vignettes containing pomegranate, peaches and finger-lemon (symbolizing long life, many sons and happiness), diameter: 9in. 22.9cm.
