Thai Bronze head of Buddha Gautama Sakyamuni, 16th century, shown with small haircurls covering his head and ushnisa, with a fine band separating his forehead from his hairdress. The large flame on top of his head symbolising his spirituality is missing. The elongated earlobes as a result of wearing heavy earrings in his youth reflect Buddha's royal origin;
