Iznik fritware tile, 17th century, decorated with scrolling flowers and leaves issuing from a central rosette, within an eight-pointed star, the border with sprays of saz leaves on a turquoise ground, dimensions: 9 5/8in. x 9 5/8in. (24.5cm x 24.5cm); condition: restored. The use of saz-style decoration (stylized serrated leaf foliage) helps to date this peace to after the mid-16th century. SOLD
