Chamberlain Worcester 'Dragon in Compartments' pattern armorial plate, late 18th /early 19th century, decorated in the centre with the crest of the Parker family (a stag trippant proper), bordered by lappet-shaped panels of mythical beasts alternating with vases issuing gilt foliage, on a seeded green-ground, within gilt rims, diameter: 7 1/8in. 18.2cm; condition: very slight wear to gilding. The Parkers had their family seat in Browsholme, Yorkshire since the reign of Henry VIII.
