A Chinese green and yellow incised 'dragon' bowl, with underglaze-blue Qianlong six-character mark within a double circle and of the period (1736-95), with deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapering foot to a flaring rim, incised and enamelled in green on the exterior with two five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls amongst flames and clouds , all reserved on a yellow ground, the interior and the base glazed white; diameter: 5 /8in., 14.3cm, condition: rim cracks and chips. Provenance: Lt. Colonel Owen Godrey Faucett (1866-1915) D.S.O. Probably acquired in the Far East in the late 19th century SOLD
