Chinese famille rose teapot and cover Yongzheng (1723-1735) decorated in rich famille rose enamels on either side with cockerels perching on rockwork with a toad, amongst flowering peony and chrysanthemum, the rim with a pink diaper band with small floral cartouches, the spout and handle with floral sprigs in iron-red; the lid with further flowers and fruits and a pink diaper band with lotus cartouches to the rim, surmounted by a bud-shaped knop.
Condition:
Minute frit to end of spout, very slight wear to enamels of handle, cover with star-crack and three chips to rim, frit to top of knop.
