Westerwald salt-glazed tankard with pewter lid, 18th century, decorated in blue with four panels depicting birds surrounded by raised dots, within an upper and lower border of blue axe heads, the pewter cover with a ball thumbpiece and a stamp to the centre of the inner cover.
Dimensions:
Height without cover: 19cm. (7 1/2in.), height with cover: 25 cm. (9 13/16in.)
Condition:
Solder repair to pewter lid where it joins the handle
