Chinese famille verte dish, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated with an array of the hundred antiques, including a central archaic vase with prunus, brush holder and daogu drum, various other beribboned precious objects depicted around the rim, diameter: 35.3cm. ( 13 7/8in.), condition: neatly restored haircrack, small break with haircrack to rim and frits to rim, all restored to a high standard. The ‘hundred antiques’ motif comprises the eight treasures (babao), the symbols of the Four Fine Arts (chess, music, calligraphy, painting) together with numerous other auspicious objects, cumulatively representing the gentlemanly accomplishments
