Fine Chinese blue and white ‘klapmuts’ bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), painted in a bright underglaze blue with ladies in a fenced rocky garden with a pine tree and plantain, the reverse with cloud covered mountains, all below an everted rim enriched with cartouches decorated with pomegranates; the interior central circular panel with deer under a pine tree by a lake, with distant mountains, the interior rim with grasses and rocks; Kangxi six character mark to the base.
