Chinese small blue and white warrior plate, Kangxi (1662-1722) with foliate edge, decorated to the centre with a scene of two warriors on horseback engaged in combat within a rocky landscape, the cavetto and rim with six petal-shaped alternating panels with warriors, bannermen and chrysanthemum heads, against a radiating swastika pattern, the reverse with six panels containing ruyi heads, the rim with three floral sprays and six character Kangxi mark within concentric circles to the base, diameter: 18cm. (8 1/4in.); condition: one hairline to the rim. The swastika is a Buddhist symbol of endless longevity
