Chinese blue and white plate, Kangxi (1662-1722), mark and period, the central roundel decorated with a terrace garden containing bamboo and rockwork, with a seated senior monk holding a flywhisk receiving three scholars; the rim with four shaped cartouches containing peaches reserved on a ground of trellis diaper, the reverse with two rocky islets and six-character Kangxi mark to the base
