Famille verte basin, Kangxi (1662-1722), of octagonal form, the central panel with blooming peony, chrysanthemum and sprays of cherry blossom, the deep cavetto with eight cartouches containing flowers including lotus, peony, chrysanthemum and lily with insects, the rim with four further floral panels against an iron red and gilt floral cell and twelve stylised chrysanthemum heads, the reverse with eight panels containing flowers and sprouting grasses, the rim with iron red cell, lotus heads and four ogee-shaped floral cartouches.
