Pair of Chinese famille verte tiered hexagonal faceted vases, Kangxi (1662-1722), the facets variously decorated with a mountainous landscape scene, dancing boys, 'the hundred antiques' and qilin in a rocky garden, the upper and lower sections divided by galloping horses in various colours above bands of scrolling lotus against a red ground, the lower sections and feet with scrolling lotus meander and bands of peony and butterflies, the flared necks with ogee-shaped cartouches containing floral sprigs and tasselled mandarin hats underneath a turquoise keyfret border
