Pair of extremely rare Chinese famille verte ewers, Kangxi (1662-1722), the hexagonal bodies supported on a spreading foot, with loop handles, each facet of the main bulbous sections with an ogee-shaped panel containing an assortment of scholarly and precious objects, including vessels with feathers and coral, scrolls, weiqi boards and babao, against a green stippled ground with lotus heads between floral cellular bands, the waisted necks with sprays of flowers divided by a narrow band of iron-red hatch pattern, the rims with a band of of yellow and green diaper, the spreading feet with large ruyi heads and the lids with small floral cartouches and surmounted by bud-shaped finials
