Chinese famille rose 'pomegranate bowl', with Jiaqing six-character seal mark and of the period (1796-1820), the bowl finely enamelled with a coiling vine interwined with bamboo, heavily laden with ripe pomegranates growing amongst yellow blossoms and large leaves painted in two shades of green with a butterfly in flight above. The design starts at the foot and continues over the rim into the interior before menadering back to the exterior.

Condition:
broken in four pieces and neatly restored with small missing area to rim filled
