A large blue and white saucer dish, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with large fruiting boughs citrus and buddha's hand citron amongst foliage and small flying insects, the reverse with three sprays of peach and pomegranate. Also for a Japanese example: Museum number 1961,1212.5 Description Dish. Decorated with fruiting branches of pomegranate and 'Buddha's hand' or finger citron and with small monogram of VOC in centre; on reverse three peach sprays and another VOC monogram. Made of porcelain decorated in underglaze blue. Inscribed.

Condition:
Chips and almost invisible hair-line to centre
