PAIR OF CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE SPIRAL FORM SALTS , KANGXI (1662 - 1722) Diameter of bowl: 9.5 cm; Height: 7.5 cm Circular, of European silver form with scalloped edges, the interior of the bowl of the salt moulded with eight spiral panels each alternating floral sprays, the centre painted with a blossom on a leafy stem within double blue lines, the exterior bowl painted with panels of single flower stems above a knopped stem with curl work between two bands of blue lines, the stepped splayed foot decorated with panels of flower sprays above further double blue lines, the base glazed.
