Pair of Chinese powder blue and famille verte ewers with covers, Kangxi (1662-1722), of double gourd form with long s-shaped spouts, decorated overall in a fine powder-blue glaze decorated with floral sprays, leafy sprigs and scrollwork in gilt, the lower bulbous sections with quatrefoil cartouches in reserve each containing a bird perched upon a flowering branch of red camellia, the upper sections with leaf-shaped cartouches also in reserve, containing flowers and grasses, the lids with bands of zig-zag pattern and surmounted by a bud-shaped finial.
