Chinese blue and white plate, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in underglaze cobalt blue to the central roundel with a hunting scene; with three men astride horses carrying bows, a sword and a long spear in a mountainous landscape with small trees and shrubs issuing from tall rockwork; one of the men bending down in his saddle towards his dog to retrieve a rabbit by the hind leg, all within double blue concentric circles; the rim with six ogee-shaped reserve cartouches containing various flowers including chrysanthemum, peony, camellia and prunus, all against a diaper ground
