Chinese famille verte ‘birds and flowers’ moulded bowl, Kangxi (1662 – 1722), with flared sides and bracketed rim, the exterior decorated with flowers including chrysanthemum, prunus and peonies issuing from rockwork and butterflies and birds in flight within eight iron red panels, the interior with branches of flowers interspersed with birds in flight beneath a scrolling iron red band with ruyi heads, the well with a cartouche containing peony and chrysanthemum amongst rockwork, the base with a mark within a double square, diameter: 8 3/4in.
