Pair of Armorial Plates, Early Qianlong (1736-1795), decorated to the centres in blue with peony blooms issuing from leafy foliage, the cavettos with a band of lambrequin spear-head border in gilt, the rims each with three leafy sprays of rose and fruiting pomegranate on a bianco supra bianco background of flower heads and scrolling leaves, surmounted by an English crest of a cockerel with outstretched wings and a crown.
