Chinese blue and white bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), with lobed slightly everted rim and moudded sides rising from a short foot, decorated with fish swimming among aquatic plants, flowers and water weeds, with a band of similar decoration to the inside rim, the central well painted with a large crab amongst further vegetation and fronds of water weeds, the base with a mark within double concentric circles

Notes:
Fish symbolise wealth in China, as the character yu (魚, fish) is homophonous with yu (裕, abundance).
