Pair of Chinese famille rose octagonal-shaped vases and covers, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated with panels of peonies in leaf-shaped cartouches between panels of chrysanthemum and scrolls in bianco supra bianco and shaped cartouche of blossom between finger-lemon shaped and pomegranateshaped cartouches containing flowering branches, all against a background of swirls and peony flower heads and cherry blossom, the covers with similar decoration with a finial in the form of a seated ?lion, height: 12 3/4in. 32.4cm. condition: one vase with hairline and crack to rim, both with shallow chips to base, seated ?lion of one finial broken in half and restuck with right front leg replaced Provenence: Hensol Estate SOLD
