Chinese ribbed verte imari plate, Kangxi (1662-1722), of moulded form with fluted rim, decorated in the centre with a lady holding a fan in a fenced terrace garden with rockwork, the fluted rim with alternating panels of foliate lotus scrolls against a rouge de fer ground, landscapes in gilt on a powder blue ground, a collection of scholar's objects and butterflies in flight amongst foliage in underglaze blue, the reverse with three floral sprays.
