A Chinese underglaze blue saucer dish, Jiajaing (1522-66), decorated in the centre with a standing phoenix besides peonies issuing from rockwork with four birds in flight all within a double blue ring, the border with six roundels with a bird in flight amongst cloud scrolls, the reverse with foliate roundels, seal mark in underglaze blue, diameter: 12 3/8in. 31.5cm ; condition: rim chipped SOLD
