Chinese blue and white cylindrical beaker and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated with upright weeds and single rosettes, the base marked with an artemisia leaf, height:6 in. 15.2cm. Condition: chip to lid neatly restored. According to Jorg this type of seaweed decoration was formerly known as 'tiger lily' and was particularly favoured by Dutch collectors in the early 20th century.
