Chinese famille verte ribbed charger, Kangxi (1662-1722), of moulded form with lobed rim, decorated to the central roundel with a beribboned basket of flowers including peony, chrysanthemum and lotus, encircled by a band with six cartouches containing precious babao and alternating sections of floral cell and latticed diaper ground, the wide rim divided into twelve panels containing various flowers and grasses issuing from rockwork or water, including prunus, lotus, peony, aster, camellia, cherry blossom and carnation, the rim with a narrow band of small floral roundels.
