Pair of octagonal Chinese famille verte dishes, Kangxi (1662-1722) with piecrust rims, decorated to the central roundels with a pair of birds; one perching within a fenced garden with flowering branches and a large pine, the other in flight overhead; the cavettos with bands of ruyi heads in iron red and the rims with bands containing fenghua flying amongst peony against a green stippled ground and narrow bands of red scroll, the reverse with three floral sprays.
