Large Japanese Arita imari charger, c. 1700, decorated in the centre with a prunus tree issuing from a tripod vase, the border with two phoenixes in flight and floral swags, diameter: 20 7/8in. 53cm., condition: chip to the reverse. A similar charger originally from the ‘Augustus the Strong’ Collection can now be found in the V&A Museum Collection; Museum no. 7333-1860. SOLD
