Chinese yellow-glazed saucer dish, Zhengde mark and of the period (1506-1521), with rounded sides and a slightly everted rim, underglaze-blue six character reign mark and double ring to base, diameter: 8 in., 20.3cm; condition: four hairlines to the rim, some wear. Dishes of this type are held in important museums and collections around the world, a similar dish is on loan from the Sir Percival David collection to the British Museum, London, published in Margaret Medley, Illustrated Catalogue of Ming and Ch’ing Monochrome in the Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art, London, 1973, pl. 597.
