Chinese blue and white Kraak charger, Wanli (1573-1619), decorated in the centre with a jardiniere filled with rockwork, blooming peony and chrysanthemum, with protruding roots below; the central roundel bordered with ruyi heads and panels of swastika, scrolling lotus and cell pattern ground, the wide outer rim with an eight-bracket kraak frame, the alternating petal-shaped panels containing fruiting branches and precious objects, the dividers with pendant tassels.

Condition:
Neatly restored break to rim, slight warping.
